Nestled on a working vineyard just 4 km from Keimoes, Kalahari Water Holiday Farm is located on one of the lush islands of the mighty Orange River. Situated along the scenic Green Kalahari and Quiver Tree Route in the Northern Cape, this peaceful escape offers a world of surprising contrasts—where the arid desert meets the fertile oasis of the Orange River.
At Kalahari Water, you’ll find unique and comfortable accommodation options surrounded by nature:
Spacious, fully equipped family self-catering units with air-conditioning, set among the vineyards
- A caravan park shaded by mature trees next to the irrigation dam, with electricity and tranquil vineyard views
- Rustic backpackers’ huts (constructed of reeds, wood, and canvas), offering a simple stay near the dam, with electricity and a close-to-nature feel
- A large lapa (entertainment area) ideal for youth groups, conferences, weddings, team-building activities, and other gatherings

Our charming Old Farmhouse has been thoughtfully transformed into four fully equipped self-catering units, tucked away between the vineyards. Each unit is uniquely designed, offering its own style, private parking, and braai (barbecue) area—perfect for relaxed farm-style living.
All units feature:
- Air-conditioned bedrooms for your comfort
- Private showers (please note: no bathtubs)
- A well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, hotplate, kettle, and all the essential utensils to prepare a hearty meal
Just behind the units, you’ll find a beautifully converted swimming dam—once the farm’s original irrigation dam, now a refreshing pool suitable for both young and old to enjoy.

The Old Farmhouse has been beautifully converted into four fully equipped self-catering units, nestled among the farm’s tranquil vineyards. Each unit has its own unique charm, private carport, and braai area, along with air conditioning in each bedroom.A creatively repurposed farm dam serves as a swimming pool just behind the units — perfect for cooling off and suitable for all ages.

Backpacker Accommodation
Our six self-catering backpacker units are set beside the irrigation dam, tucked between the vineyards. Each unit has its own carport and braai area, and features a unique rustic design made from canvas, reed, and wood. Please note that due to these natural materials, they are not fully soundproof.

- Tarentaal (Max 2 people) – 1 bedroom with a double bed and air conditioning.
- Tinktinkie (Max 2 people) – 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and air conditioning.
- Kiewiet (Max 4 people) – 2 bedrooms with 4 single beds and air conditioning.
- Visarend (Max 4 people) – 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, a spacious living area, and a water cooler.
- Reier (Max 4 people) – 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, with a water cooler.
- Kolgans (Max 4 people) – A converted caravan with a covered stoep (patio) and a double bed. Includes a small kitchen and bathroom with shower and toilet.

Enjoy tranquil camping and caravan sites with electricity, located beside the dam and nestled between the farm’s scenic vineyards — a peaceful setting for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
We offer 10 camping and caravan sites with electricity, located next to the irrigation dam and nestled between the vineyards at the base of a small hill.

Our facilities are ideal for youth camps, birthday parties, weddings, conferences, and group getaways. We can accommodate up to 80 guests for overnight stays.
